WP Super Cache ( other option being w3 total cache) is one of the best cache plugins for WordPress. This is a very s simple and easy to install WordPress plugin for beginners. To remove it completely, you need to follow these simple steps:
- Go to Plugins > Wp Super Cache > Easy
- Turn Caching off
- Deactivate this plugin.
- Delete WP Super Cache Plugin.
Like all the good plugins it automatically takes care of removing ll its files and modifications made in the wp-config.php file.
But for some reason like for e.g “if you are using mod_rewirte” which adds some code in .htaccess and wp-config.php, you should know the right way to uninstall it.
How to completely uninstall WP Super Cache manually
This plugin stores all its files in Plugins directory of your WordPress installation.
/var/www/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache /var/www/html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php /var/www/html/wp-content/Cache /var/www/html/wp-content/wp-cache-config.php
or if you are using some web panel like cPanel or Virtualmin then it should be something like this example.
/home/user/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache /home/user/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php /home/user/public_html/wp-content/Cache /home/user/public_html/wp-content/wp-cache-config.php

Completely remove WP Super Cache plugin.
To fully remove this plugin, you need to undo all the config/changes made by WP Super Cache before deactivating this plugin.
Before uninstalling WP-Super Cache, you need to first disable cache.
Go to Settings > WP Super Cache. Under the Easy tab, check Caching Off box and click on Update Status button.
Go back to Plugins Menu by Clicking on Plugins option in the left pane. And then deactivate WP Super Cache.
After Deactivation, Delete WP Super Cache Plugin.
Make sure no settings of W3 Total Cache plugins are left in any of these files.
To Undo changes made by WP Super Cache in wp-config.php.
Before editing wp-config.php file, Please take backup of this file or any config file before editing them.
Open wp-config.php file and remove lines with ‘WP_CACHE’ and ‘WPCACHEHOME’.
To Undo changes made by WP Super Cache in the .htaccess file.
Take a backup of the .htaccess file before editing it.
Open your .htaccess file and remove everything between BEGIN and END WPSuperCache tags.
# BEGIN WPSuperCache ..... ..... ..... ..... # END WPSuperCache
Now you have successfully removed WP Super Cache Plugin.
